Everything you need before your first class — or your hundredth.
Start with a free trial class in Hatha Yoga — it's the most accessible entry point and covers the fundamentals. Before your first class, we do a short 10-minute orientation with the teacher to understand your health background and any limitations. Alternatively, our 8-week Beginners' Foundations course is specifically designed for people who have never practiced before — small groups of 8, structured curriculum, and no assumptions about prior knowledge.
Monthly membership: ₹3,500 for unlimited classes (all styles). Drop-in: ₹600 per class (subject to availability). 12-class package: ₹6,000 (valid 3 months). Beginners' Foundations 8-week course: ₹7,500. Pre/Postnatal specialised package: ₹8,000 (8 weeks). Annual membership available at ₹36,000 (saves ₹6,000). All fees include mat and prop use.
Yes, in most cases — with the right guidance. Before joining, inform us of your specific diagnosis. We will assess whether yoga is appropriate, which style suits your condition, and what modifications will be applied. Several of our students came specifically for back rehabilitation. We do not accept students with acute injuries or post-surgical conditions without medical clearance.
Mirrors focus attention on external appearance — how you look in a pose — rather than how you feel in it. Classical yoga teaches internal awareness: the relationship between breath, sensation, and stillness. Mirrors undermine that. Most students find the adjustment difficult for the first week and transformative within the first month. If you genuinely cannot practice without them, Praana may not be the right fit — and we'd rather you know that upfront.
Yes, drop-in is possible at ₹600 per class, subject to availability. Given our 12-student maximum, drop-in spots are only available when a regular student is absent. We recommend booking 24 hours in advance via WhatsApp to confirm availability. Regular students always have priority. If you attend more than 4 drop-in classes in a month, we'll suggest converting to a membership — it's significantly better value.
We provide jute mats, blocks, straps, and bolsters — you do not need to bring anything. Wear comfortable, non-restrictive clothing. Avoid eating for 2 hours before class (90 minutes minimum for a light snack). Bring water. Avoid heavy perfume — the practice space is enclosed and shared. Remove footwear before entering the studio floor.
Please cancel at least 4 hours before your class via WhatsApp so another student can take the spot. Cancellations with less than 4 hours notice are counted as attended for package holders. Members with monthly memberships have unlimited cancellations with 4 hours notice — attendance is not counted against them. We understand genuine emergencies happen and handle them individually.
Yes. Private sessions with Kavita or Ananya are available at ₹2,500 per 60-minute session. These are particularly suited to people with specific health conditions, post-injury rehabilitation, or those who want a structured personalised practice plan before joining group classes. Limited slots — please enquire directly.
Our prenatal class is designed for the second and third trimester (weeks 14+). First trimester is typically not advised for structured yoga classes. Postnatal class is available from 8 weeks after a normal delivery (12 weeks post C-section) with OB clearance. All prenatal students are required to submit a medical clearance letter from their gynaecologist before the first session.
Not currently. We have a small referral list of RYT-500 teacher training programmes we trust. Kavita also offers mentorship for students interested in deepening their practice beyond classes — this is unstructured and by invitation. If you're serious about teaching yoga, we'd suggest completing a minimum of 2 years of consistent practice before approaching training programmes.
