Walk-ins are welcome when slots are available, but we strongly recommend booking ahead — especially on weekends and for specialist services like colour, keratin treatments, or bridal packages. You can book via WhatsApp, phone, or our online booking page. Confirmation is sent via WhatsApp within minutes.
We use L'Oréal Professionnel and Schwarzkopf Professional exclusively for all colour services. No parallel-import or unbranded products are used at Lumière. For hair bonding and protection treatments, we stock OLAPLEX. You're welcome to ask to see the tubes — we have nothing to hide.
Yes, always. A patch test is mandatory for first-time colour clients and for anyone trying a new formula or significantly different shade. Results are assessed 24–48 hours later. For same-day walk-in colouring, we only proceed if the client has had the same formulation before without any reaction.
At least 8–12 weeks before the wedding date. Our bridal packages include a consultation, a mandatory trial session (4–6 weeks before the wedding), and a pre-wedding skin prep plan starting 6 weeks out. Peak wedding season (November–February) books out 4–5 months in advance — please plan accordingly.
The spa and skin treatment rooms are women-only. The main salon floor (haircuts, colour, blow-dry) is open to all genders. We have a separate consultation area for male clients who prefer privacy. Please call ahead if you have specific requirements and we'll arrange accordingly.
With proper aftercare, gel manicures at Lumière last 2–3 weeks before requiring a fill or removal. We use Essie and OPI gel formulations. Longevity depends on your nail growth rate, daily activities, and aftercare. We provide a free aftercare guide with every nail appointment. Avoid peeling — come in for removal if needed.
Yes. We offer Brazilian Blowout, L'Oréal X-tenso smoothening, and OLAPLEX bond-building treatments. During your consultation, our stylist will assess your hair type and condition before recommending a treatment — we won't apply a keratin to hair that's already over-processed. Treatment time is 2.5–4 hours depending on hair length and density.
We ask for 4 hours' notice for regular appointments and 24 hours for bridal or specialist bookings. For bridal packages with a deposit, cancellations within 48 hours of the event are non-refundable. Rescheduling is always free with sufficient notice — just WhatsApp us and we'll find the next available slot.
Yes — we regularly handle groups of 4–8 for mehendi, sangeet, and wedding-day hair and makeup. A dedicated coordinator is assigned for group bookings. We can also travel to the venue for morning-of services. Please contact us at least 6 weeks in advance for group event bookings.
Street parking is available on Circus Avenue (2-minute walk). For longer appointments (spa packages, hair colour, bridal sessions), we suggest using Ola/Uber as parking can be limited during peak hours on weekends. The salon is also accessible by Metro — Rabindra Sarobar station is a 10-minute walk.
